This Golden Hawk model has been preserved in my father's glass display case for over 2 decades. It comes in its original packaging, adding to its value and authenticity in the classic car and Franklin Mint die-cast collecting community.

The Golden Hawk took the basic shape of the 1953–55 Champion/Commander Starliner hardtop coupe but added a large, almost vertical eggcrate grille and raised hoodline in place of the earlier car's swooping, pointed nose, and was introduced as the Studebaker Speedster.
The Golden Hawk sales were Heavily hit by the recession in the 1950s and the model was discontinued after selling only 878 cars in 1958.
