I was going to say it was padded but the "padding" for the shoulders and elbows are rigid and not soft padding. I looked it up and they are just called Protectors and run about $35 per pair, that's 35 for the shoulders and 35 for the elbows. If there are any other photos you'd like to see that I haven't included, just let me know.
