These lamps were produced from the late 1960s until the 1980s in this form. This lamp is somewhere between 40 and 50 years old and is in very good condition for its age with only a few age related marks but nothing big enough to detract from its looks. The lamp has been tested and is electrically safe. Dimensions Fully extended approximately: 69cm Shade dimensions: 21.5cm diameter Base Diameter: 20cm An original WL2 Anglepoise lamp White shade. Designed by George Carwardine & Kenneth George in the 1960’s.It is in very good original condition with only a few very small blemishes. The base is made form heavy cast iron, together with an aluminium adjustable arm and White plastic shade. It is a classic 1960’s design piece from the very well established Herbert Terry & Sons who produced all of the more familiar Anglepoise lamps. The simplicity, clean lines and over all look, is retro but also very contemporary in its minimalist design. It would make any desk a stylish place to be.
