Antique cast iron surface mount rim box door lock and door knob. Widely used in 19th and early 20th century historic homes. The locks were mounted on the surface of a door rather than mortised onto the edge. The square hole is for the spindle that connects to the door knob. The keyhole is for a skeleton key (not included). Painted light green with some flaking on the knob.
