Book has fancy decorative gilt covers with an inset picture on the front cover. This French publisher created beautiful books in a style known as "Romantique Cartonnage", that were often given as prizes/awards by schools. This style of book is RARE to find in the USA!
Book is in Good condition. Staining on the covers and some of the gilt has darkened. Corners & top/bottom of the spine are bumped quite a bit. Rubbing on the covers & edges. Interior is in Very Good condition also. Bookplate - an school award for Geography - on the inside cover. Some pages have a little foxing/speckling (which is typical) but many of the pages are bright and clean! Still well bound.
