Mountain Research Bush Walker Trek Boots

These are the Bush Walker boots from Mountain Research.

These trek boots were released in 2012 as part of Mountain Research's boot line, "SEtt for Mountain Boots." They are a practical pair of boots, featuring a sturdy construction using the Norwegian welt method and Vibram soles.

The main feature is the use of Garuiser leather from the now-defunct Swiss company, Garuiser. This leather is also known as "phantom leather" and was used in authentic mountaineering boots, making it a very rare material. It has a thick, rugged texture and high durability, and its matte finish will develop a deep character with wear.

Currently, Garuiser leather products available on the market are only used or vintage items. This model is rare, reflecting Mountain Research's commitment to material selection.

The boots have a design without a toe cap for a comfortable fit, and iconic details such as the outer stamp and the "A" mark embossed near the heel are still present. The soles show little wear and can be worn for a long time, with the possibility of sole replacement in the future.

An original jacquard woven drawstring bag is included as an accessory.

I usually wear US8.5-9 boots, but these felt slightly roomy.

The condition is that they have been worn sparingly and stored. There is almost no wear on the heels and toes of the soles, and I believe they are in very good condition among the same leather specifications.
