Third edition hardcover copy of The Mystical Christ : Religion as a Personal Spiritual Experience by Manly P. Hall (The Philosophical Research Society, 1956). A very rare book providing a unique and nonsectarian look at the life of Jesus, with special attention paid to the supernatural / mystical / miraculous aspects of his life. A very well preserved vintage copy. Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with some mild rubbing to covers and shelf wear around the edges. Jacket edges slightly tanned. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is mildly visible in a few gutters, but spine is straight, hinges are secure and binding remains fairly firm on the whole. Previous owner’s inscription on front endpaper and there are small stains to top outer edge of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
