Super charming vintage Italian ceramic tea pot decorated in the Della Robbia style with a lemon finial handle and a garland of fruits and greens around the shoulder of the pot. The manufacture is charmingly rustic. The Bitossi factory has made fine Italian ceramic for a hundred years now--including pieces similar to this one. The pot is short and stout...measuring 8" from handle to spout and about 4.5" tall including the lid, and about 5 3/4" across side to side. Intricately decorated and beautiful, colorful brush strokes adorn this unique tea pot.
Bottom marking is an underlined “B” which may date it from 1920s-50s but along with number 212 may date it from 50s-70s. It is in Fair/Good condition for its age. It is still functional and usable however there are slight chips and discoloring throughout the piece.
