This is a small cut crystal inkwell that has a silver color lid with a metal piece that covers the top of the inkwell and down each side. This metal is not marked, and silver polish did nothing to clean it. Brass cleaner (Wrights brass polish) did a nice job of shining it up. The only markings I have found are Pat. Dec. 28 ’97.
The inkwell measures 1.50 inches across each side and the sides are 1 3/8 inches tall. Total height is 2 1/8 inches.
The inkwell is shiny clean, but it had several years (or decades) worth of dried, stuck on ink in it when I received it. It is now completely clean and the lid works perfectly.
There are no chips, cracks, or other damage.
