**Beautiful antique purple glass. Known as “sun-purpled” also popularly called “glassmaker’s soap”. Made pre-WWI.
American glass manufactured From 1885 to 1914 was made with manganese which gave the glass an interesting trait. The glass would turn purple when exposed to prolonged exposure to UV rays
