Rare find Vintage Burmese lacquered bamboo lidded rice basket. The basket is made of high-quality bamboo and has a beautiful multi-color design. The basket is very big. Roughly 24" x 18" I'm guessing but I'll measure exactly for you if you want it.
It is an original piece from the Burma region and is post-1940 in age. Needs a good cleaning.
The basket is used and has areas of wear that are appropriate for its age. In overall good condition, minor scratches and the bamboo splitting.
