Fabulous and rare estate sale find from Gonder Ceramic Arts, which was located in Zanesville, Ohio and operated from 1941-1957.
This glossy gray ceramic fishing couple has the most impressive details! Each one is 14” H x 11” W x 4” D, wearing a traditional chinoiserie robe, carrying a yolk across its back with two bamboo water pails.
Both are in pristine vintage condition (even though they are 75 years old!) with their original parts and no chips, crack, repairs or crazing of any kind. Marked COPYRIGHT 1949 GONDER CERAMIC ARTS on the back.
Wood Ming-style riser base is not included, but can be added on for an additional cost.
