This is a used 1998 Umino Tamagotchi, or Tamagotchi Ocean. Language is Japanese, but simple enough to play without knowledge of it. The shell is incredibly yellowed, and one screw on the inside of the toy (not the battery door) is stripped.
The overall function of the device is good, no scratches on screen, no corrosion on contacts, tap sensor works. Perfect for someone who wants to play with their fishy friend on the go.
